Short answer - Love it!
Well my main P4 PC that I built 7 years ago finally bit the big one. My old lease return P3 Dell laptop was getting long in the tooth and starting to fall apart so, it was time. I purchased a MacBook Pro 15" in 2.66GHz stock trim. I'm not an Apple Fanboy by any means and this was my first Mac purchase. I did use Macs in college and really liked them but not enough to pay the price premium. I've had numerous Windows machines and a few Linux boxes.

- OSX kicks ass!
- Very fast across the board. Start up, shut down, loading programs, everything
- Quiet. Never makes a sound. Even the keyboard is whisper quiet. No fan noise or clicking hard drives
- Battery life
- Garage Band
- Backlit keyboard
- Trackpad is genius
- Screen is incredible. Some reflection when outside or when back-lit but worth the price for such beautiful display otherwise
- Aluminum body
- Mag Safe power cord
- Price (although with the discount I received not too bad)
- Airport hates my old Linksys router and AP so it drops the wireless connection. Seems to be a Snow Leopard issue. Worked fine until I upgraded to OSX 10.6.2 which came on a disk in the box
